Every Californian has a story. This is SF’s.

Below, you’ll find a snapshot of the experiences, beliefs, and principles that shaped him, and the reasons he’s stepping forward to lead California.

  • SF’s story is one of struggle, resilience, and an unwavering belief in what California can be; because he has lived both its hardest realities and its greatest opportunities.

Before he became an entrepreneur, a father, and a community-focused problem-solver, SF was a young man trying to stay afloat in California. There was a time he had no home for six weeks. He remembers the weight of those days, sleeping in his car, rationing gas and food.

He knows what it feels like to stand at that crossroads, exhausted but refusing to give up. He knows the quiet fear of living without health coverage. He knows the pressure of stretching every dollar to care for children who depend on you.

These experiences didn’t harden him. They grounded him. They shaped his values: humility, empathy, and the belief that progress is built step by step.

SF’s worldview was shaped long before California. Born to a Belgian mother and an Ivorian father, he grew up in the Democratic Republic of Congo, where his father served as Ivory Coast’s Ambassador. From an early age, he learned how leadership can build bridges, lift communities, and protect the vulnerable.

In his twenties, SF crossed continents: Africa, Europe, and eventually the United States, in search of education and opportunity. He graduated from San Francisco State University in 1995 with a degree in Broadcast Telecommunications, drawn to the power of storytelling and its ability to bring people together.

His early career was in media and communication, but he stepped away when he felt that the stories being told no longer reflected the realities and resilience he saw in everyday people.

In 2008, SF became a real estate broker. He entered the field to help first-time homebuyers find dignity and security during one of the most uncertain economic periods in recent history. Over the years, his company has helped more than 100 families and veterans transition from Section 8 housing into homeownership; a milestone that remains one of the accomplishments he is most proud of. He continues this work today, guiding families through one of California’s toughest and most expensive systems.

Over time, SF expanded his efforts beyond California. Drawing on his international upbringing and his commitment to sustainable development, he began consulting for projects in Africa. Most recently, as CEO of a consulting firm in Luanda, Angola, he has helped local communities develop sustainable businesses that empower workers, strengthen local economies, and protect natural resources.

His real estate work in California and his consulting work abroad have run in parallel for years, both anchored in the same belief: that communities thrive when opportunities are created, not imposed.

SF is a father of five. Today, he lives in San Jose with his wife, a dedicated nurse. His journey, from hardship to hope and from instability to service, is the foundation of why he remains driven by the belief that California can be both compassionate and accountable — a place where families can thrive, not struggle to survive.

  • SF is running for governor because too many Californians feel the system is no longer working for them. Families work harder yet fall further behind. Housing is increasingly out of reach. Government programs lack transparency, accountability, and measurable outcomes.

He believes leadership should be grounded in lived experience, honesty, and results, not slogans or party talking points.

SF is running to restore trust in government by making every program measurable and public; to bring affordability back into reach for working families; and to build a resilient California whose energy, water, and infrastructure systems are sustainable, reliable, and locally driven.

He’s running because he knows what it’s like to struggle, and he knows what it takes to rebuild. He wants a California that works for everyone, not just those with a head start.

  • SF’s core principles guide the way he leads and the solutions he champions.

He believes leadership begins with listening. Californians deserve a governor who understands their daily challenges and responds with clarity and accountability.

He believes transparency is non-negotiable. Budgets, programs, metrics, and outcomes should be open to the public — not buried in bureaucracy.

He believes affordability is essential. Families should not have to choose between childcare and rent, or leave the state to find opportunity.

He believes in evidence-based decision-making. Programs should be measured, audited, and evaluated based on results, not politics.

He believes in resilience and sustainability — clean air, reliable water, and energy choices that are both environmentally responsible and cost-effective.

Above all, he believes California can lead again when government earns the trust of its people.

  • SF is running as an independent candidate with no political party affiliation.

He is an independent-minded leader who prioritizes solutions over ideology, accountability over partisanship, and measurable results over political theater.

His positions are guided by what works, not by party expectations. He’s willing to work with Democrats, Republicans, and Independents alike, so long as the goal is practical, transparent progress for all Californians.

  • SF accepts contributions from individuals and small, privately owned businesses.

He does not accept money from corporate PACs, large corporations, or any entity that employs lobbyists.

SF believes a governor should be accountable to the people, not to special interests.

His campaign is funded by individuals who believe in transparent, honest, results-driven leadership.

This is how trust is built, and how California moves forward.
