Meet SF
SF is running for governor with a simple belief: California doesn’t need bigger government, it needs smarter government. A government that listens, empowers, and serves the people with transparency, efficiency, and common sense.
As an independent voice outside the extremes, SF is focused on making California truly livable again, where families can afford to stay, small businesses can grow, and communities feel safe, supported, and heard.

“I’ve lived the struggle, and I’ve seen what happens when we refuse to give up. Together, we can build a California that works for everyone, a place where opportunity isn’t just a promise, but a reality for all.”
-SF
My vision for California
This campaign is built on five core pillars. Each pillar connects directly to detailed policy plans in 12 key areas, from Families First to Energy & Environmental Resilience.
On this page, you’ll see the big picture. On the Vision for California page, you can dive into all the details.
A state government that shows its work: every dollar, every decision, out in the open. With real-time transparency, independent audits, and citizen input, Californians can finally see and shape how their government works.
Honest, Open Government
-
Smart, transparent government that earns back public trust.
• Radical transparency & open government: Public access to all budget data, live-streamed debates and hearings, online tools for citizen feedback, regular “Open Door Day” and participatory budgeting sessions.
• Performance & independent oversight: Independent audits to eliminate waste, fraud, and inefficiency; performance-based budgeting with clear, measurable results at every level.
• Pilot-first, data-driven policy: Pilot programs with safeguards before statewide rollout; public, real-time dashboards for budgets, program results, risk indicators, and KPIs so Californians can see what’s working, and what isn’t.“The government should work for the people, not the other way around. Transparency and accountability aren’t slogans; they’re the foundation of trust.”
A California where people aren’t crushed by housing, energy, and everyday costs. From fair taxes to smarter housing and local food and energy solutions, families, seniors, and workers can actually afford to stay and thrive here.
A Livable California
-
A California where working families can thrive, not just survive.
• Housing & homelessness solutions: Streamlined building permits, reduced construction costs, priority housing for essential workers, and affordable/supportive housing options; including tiny homes, modular units, and community-based services to help people stabilize and rebuild.
• Everyday costs: energy, food & utilities: Freedom of choice in energy sources (solar, hydrogen, hybrid) with off-grid resilience; support for urban farming, local food systems, and community energy independence to lower utility and grocery bills.
• Tax reform & seniors’ relief: Simplified, fair tax code so working Californians keep more of what they earn; targeted tax relief and cost-of-living protections for seniors and people on fixed incomes.“Affordability isn’t a luxury, it’s a right. Let’s make California livable again.”
Instead of trapping people in broken systems, we invest in skills, education, and ownership. From apprenticeships and small-business support to broadband and digital tools, every Californian gets a real path forward.
Real Paths to Opportunity
-
Empowering people, not expanding bureaucracy.
• Effective, empowering social programs: Review all social programs for effectiveness. Strengthen what works, reform what doesn’t, and cut what wastes resources, with a focus on true empowerment, not dependency.
• Jobs, small business & innovation: Job training, apprenticeships, pathways to ownership, support for small-business creation, and public–private innovation challenges to solve California’s biggest problems (water, energy, transportation, homelessness).
• Education with parents at the center: Education reform that puts parents and students first, transparent curricula, strong parental involvement, and real career pathways for every learner.
• Digital access & modern tools: Guarantee access to the tools of the modern economy: high-speed internet, digital literacy, and technology access for every community.“We lift people by giving them tools, not by trapping them in systems that don’t work. Opportunity is the best social program.
Clean air, reliable energy, and secure water, without one-size-fits-all mandates. By diversifying our energy, protecting our forests and water, and planning for wildfire and climate risks, we build a future that actually works.
A Future that Works
-
Real environmental leadership without ideological blinders.
• Diverse, resilient energy & self-sufficient homes: Promote energy diversity (hydrogen, solar, wind, sustainable biofuels) and support homes and buildings that can operate independently from the grid during power outages.
• Smart, streamlined green building: Simplify permitting for sustainable construction while maintaining practical environmental standards that protect communities and jobs.
• Land, water & working landscapes: Reinvest in forest management, wildfire prevention, and water infrastructure, including long-approved reservoirs, drought-resilient agriculture, regenerative farming, and local food production.
• Risk-aware infrastructure & climate resilience: Design infrastructure and environmental policy with long-term risk in mind (wildfire, drought, floods, and heatwaves) so communities stay safe as conditions change.“A sustainable future means cleaner air, stronger jobs, and smarter choices, not one-size-fits-all policies that hurt working families.”
Safer streets, stronger neighborhoods, and better mental-health support. By prioritizing local policing, health freedom with informed choice, and community services, we help communities protect and uplift their people.
Stronger, Safer Communities
-
Empowered citizens. Stronger neighborhoods. A safer, more united California.
• Public safety, health & mental health: Prioritize public safety, local policing, community well-being, and expanded access to preventive and mental-health services.
• Health freedom & informed preparedness: Embrace health freedom with informed choice, replacing mandates with transparent communication, education, and preparedness-focused planning.
• Community supports for families, seniors & vulnerable neighbors: Support families, seniors, and vulnerable neighbors with accessible healthcare, mental-health services, and community-based supports; treat homelessness as a community challenge, combining housing, treatment, and workforce opportunities.
• Civic engagement, volunteering & local readiness: Launch civic engagement and volunteering initiatives, and strengthen local emergency response capacity so every community can organize, prepare, and protect itself during crises.“Resilience starts in our neighborhoods: with empowered citizens, strong families, and a government that trusts the people.”
California is at a crossroads. SF is stepping up now because the next decade will determine whether California becomes more livable, more resilient, and more fair, or continues down a path that pushes people out.
